I am a high school student and a competitive programmer. I started programming when I was 8 years old and participated in my first competitive programming contest at the age of 11. Through my experience, I have been able to achieve a Silver Medal at the 12th Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics and participate at the Seniors Division in the 13th Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics. With my teammates, we made it to the finals of the Teens Division of the Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest three times, and we were among the top 50 teen teams in Egypt. In addition to competing, I am currently mentoring some students in my school's cs club. I have a great sense of how to teach algorithms and problem solving to newcomers. Moreover, I participated in open source projects like Google Code-in, where I completed 3 tasks. Additionally, I am a member and an organizer for some of the local city events at Hack Club. My journey through competitive programming has taught me how to break a problem down into small chunks and test out my ideas quickly. That skill has translated into my ability to create something new and useful.
